HOW IT WORKS

How ordering works

A first folding carton order runs in eight stages: a brief, a planner review, a landed quote in 16 to 24 working hours, a prototype, a signed off proof, 15 to 20 days of production, per-lot testing and delivery to your door. A reorder goes straight to production and runs in 8 days.

One planner carries the order from the first email to the delivery.

Eight stages, one price

The quote is the whole cost of the order delivered, and the stages after it are the ones that price was built on. Nothing is added between the quote and the invoice.

From brief to delivery

The first four stages set the price. The last four make the order.

Stages 01 to 04

Set the price

  1. Brief

Dimensions, quantity and the product going in, or a sample of the carton you already run. Artwork can follow.

    Any one item starts it

    Stage 1 of 8
  2. Planner review

A packaging planner replies with an answer, or with the details needed to prepare one.

    One business day

    Stage 2 of 8
  3. Landed quote

Board, printing, finishing, tooling, import duty, shipping and delivery in one price.

    16 to 24 working hours

    Stage 3 of 8
  4. Structure and prototype

A physical prototype built around your primary pack, for you to test before tooling is cut.

    Included

    Stage 4 of 8

Stages 05 to 08

Make the order

  1. Proof and sign off

Artwork is set to the dieline and proofed. Plates are made from the proof you sign off.

    Your sign off

    Stage 5 of 8
  2. Production

Printing, finishing, die cutting, folding and gluing in one plant.

    15 to 20 days, 8 on repeat

    Stage 6 of 8
  3. Testing

Six physical tests in the plant laboratory, and a Certificate of Conformance for the lot.

    Every lot

    Stage 7 of 8
  4. Delivery

Packed in master cases to your count and delivered to your address with its documents.

    Freight and duty included

    Stage 8 of 8

Nothing is cut before you approve it

Two approvals stand between a quote and a press. The first is the structure: a physical prototype built around your product, which you run on your own line or pack by hand. Changes at that stage cost nothing, because no cutting die exists yet.

The second is the artwork. It is set to the approved dieline and proofed, and the proof you sign off is what the plates are made from. The approved shade card is then retained against your part number, and every run after the first is matched to it rather than to the last delivery.

Structure
Approved on a physical prototype, before the die is made
Artwork
Approved on a proof, before the plates are made
Color
Held to a retained shade card on every run

What to send with a request

Any one of these is enough to start. All four gets a quote on the first reply.

  • The product

Dimensions of the bottle, jar, pouch or tray going in, and its fill weight. The carton is sized to the product, not the other way round.

  • Quantity

Target quantity per SKU and the number of SKUs. A program of several SKUs runs from one structural family so the line stays consistent.

  • Artwork

Print-ready files with the dieline if you have them. If not, a quote can be prepared from dimensions and finishes and the artwork follows.

  • Your current carton

A physical sample of a carton you already run. The structure is measured, the board and caliper matched and the color matched to it.

Questions about ordering

A quote is returned in 16 to 24 working hours from a complete brief. A packaging planner replies within one business day in either case, with the quote or with the details still needed to prepare one.

Board, printing, finishing, tooling, import duty, shipping and delivery to your door, combined into one landed price. Structural design and the prototype are included rather than quoted separately, so the number on the quote is the number on the invoice.

As one program. The SKUs are built from one structural family, so tooling and board are shared where the sizes allow, and each SKU carries its own part number with its approved proof, shade card and stored press settings. Every reorder of any SKU then runs in 8 days.

Yes. A physical prototype of the structure is made for you to test before any tooling is cut, and the artwork is proofed before plates are made. Production starts only from a signed off proof.

Yes. The prepress department checks your file against the approved dieline and sends it back marked up before tooling, free of charge. The artwork is then proofed before plates are made.

Bulk runs. The plant is built around bulk and repeat programs, with capacity to 5 million cartons per SKU. Send your quantities per SKU through the quote form and a planner confirms the run.

Payment terms are stated on the quote.

Send the part number and the quantity. The approved proof, the shade card and the press settings are stored against that part number, so a reorder skips setup and runs in 8 days in production.

Start with the brief

Dimensions and a quantity are enough for a first reply within one business day. Landed cost runs 20 to 30 percent below a comparable US supplier quote.
