TOBACCO
Cigarette Boxes and Tobacco Packaging, Manufactured for US and Global Brands
Eastface Packaging manufactures printed paperboard for tobacco brands: hinge lid cigarette boxes, ten-pack cartons and display outers, cigar and cigarillo cartons, and vape device and cartridge boxes. The plant is an IBA-accredited security printer, so anti-counterfeit features run on the same press, and landed pricing runs 20 to 30 percent below US supplier quotes.

Warning panels, rotation variants, and tax stamp zones are planned on the dieline before artwork starts.
Packs that can be field-checked without lab equipment, cartons that expose refill fraud at the distributor tier, and one supplier accountable for both the brand print and the security layer.

Hinge lid boxes
The hinge lid box is the standard cigarette pack construction: a one-piece blank that folds into a body and a hinged lid, with a printed inner frame holding the bundle square. Searchers call it a flip top box; the industry drawing calls it hinge lid, and both name the same construction.
Supply: Eastface supplies hinge lid blanks printed, die cut, and delivered flat. The liner is supplied as a matched component where your program requires it.
Other products: Custom flip top boxes for non-cigarette products (matches-style, mints, small hardware) run on the same construction and are quoted the same way.
Print notes: Hinge lid packs read at pocket distance, so registration and density are held on instrument through the run, and lid-to-body pattern match is checked as a formation test, not by eye.
Structure: The hinge lid box in full, with its shoulder, lid tension and creasing.

Warning panels and compliance
Every warning regime is a print program: fixed panel shares, rotation across the SKU set, and contrast requirements that must survive the brand’s color fields.
Cigarettes: US packs and cartons carry Surgeon General warnings under the Federal Cigarette Labeling and Advertising Act. FDA’s graphic warning rule (21 CFR part 1141) has been through litigation and its effective date has moved; confirm current status with your regulatory counsel before art is locked.
Covered products including vape: The nicotine addictiveness warning (21 CFR 1143.3) takes 30 percent of each of the two principal display panels, in specified type and contrast.
Cigars: Rotating warning statements under FDA rules, with warning plans submitted to FDA; coverage and enforcement status differ by product class and have moved with litigation, so counsel confirms the current requirement per line.
Tax stamps: State stamps are applied downstream by distributors. Dielines here reserve clear stamp zones so the stamp lands on flat, uncoated area and the pack still reads.
Plain packaging elsewhere: Searchers comparing European cigarette packaging are seeing the EU Tobacco Products Directive regime, where health warnings take 65 percent of front and back and several markets add standardized plain packs. US rules differ, but brands exporting both ways plan panels for the stricter market first.
Warning content, placement, and rotation compliance belong to the brand and its counsel. Eastface prints approved artwork to specification, holds the contrast and registration that keep warnings compliant on press, and manages rotation variants as a program.
Four tobacco carton formats
Custom cigarette packaging is a program, not a single SKU: pack, carton, and outer share one color standard so the brand reads identically at pocket, shelf, and case.

Hinge lid boxes
The standard cigarette pack, printed, die cut, and delivered flat for automated packing lines.

Cartons and outers
Custom cigarette boxes at the carton tier: the ten-pack carton, half cartons, and display outers that open into counter-ready trays. Custom printed cigarette boxes for limited runs carry the same instrument-checked density.

Cigar boxes
Custom cigar boxes in printed paperboard: cigarillo two- and five-packs, ten-count cartons, and sleeve-and-tray formats for premium lines. A cigar box manufacturer in paperboard, not wood.

Vape boxes
Custom vape boxes for devices, pod systems, and disposables, and vape cartridge boxes as single cartons and multipacks with hang tab variants for pegboard retail.
What every run is held to
Print precision
Six-color offset with PDC-SG density control holding shade against the approved card.
Structural integrity
Dimensions verified against the approved dieline, and lid function tested on hinged formats.
Batch consistency
In-process checks at each stage, defect sorting, and pre-dispatch inspection before release.
Launch readiness
Counted packing, batch labels, palletized with moisture safeguards, delivered to your dock.

Boards and materials
Searchers ask for cardboard cigarette boxes and paper cigarette boxes; the material under both phrases is solid bleached or folding boxboard, selected per format. Hinge lid work runs on stiffer grades for lid memory; carton sleeves run lighter. All board grades are stocked, including kraft-back.
MetPET: MetPET board carries metallic pack designs without a separate foil pass.
Foil and emboss: Cigar packaging carries most of its shelf work in foil and embossing. Custom cigar boxes with logo treatments in foil or blind emboss are quoted as finish variants so the unit economics stay visible.
Climate control: The climate-controlled hall with dehumidification keeps board flat from print through die cutting, which is what keeps lids folding square.

Standards, security, and documentation
Tobacco packaging programs run under the same plant standards as every regulated category here: the plant is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 and operates to BRCGS and SEDEX, with FSC compliant paper sourcing.
Lab: In-house lab work covers instrument-checked ink density (PDC-SG), rub resistance, and carton formation testing, which includes lid function on hinged formats.
Documentation: Every shipment can carry a Certificate of Conformance. Color is proofed against a shade card standard and reorders are checked against the same standard.
Security printing: Tobacco is a high-diversion category, and Eastface operates as an IBA-accredited security printer. Security ink features (UV-visible and other covert marks) are priced based on the job, with no change to production schedule. The T-Code verification mark is printed and applied in house. Full feature detail lives on the anti-counterfeiting page.
Pack and carton reference
A standard US pack holds 20 cigarettes. A carton holds 10 packs, which is 200 cigarettes. Distributor cases commonly hold 30, 50, or 60 cartons, and the case count is set to your requirement. Pack format drives every downstream dimension, so the reference row you pick here is the first line of your carton specification.

Tobacco packaging questions
A standard US pack holds 20 cigarettes. That count is consistent across king size and 100s formats; the formats differ in stick length and therefore pack height, not count.
A US carton holds 10 packs, which is 200 cigarettes. Distributor cases commonly hold 30, 50, or 60 cartons, and the case count is set to your requirement.
There is no fixed standard size. Pack and carton dimensions follow your stick format and bundle count, and the dieline is engineered to them.
We print your approved artwork, including every warning variant in your rotation plan, and hold the contrast, type, and registration that keep those panels compliant on press. What the warnings must say and where they must sit is set by law and confirmed by your counsel.
Unprinted runs are quoted the same way as printed ones, from the same dielines and board grades. Eastface is a volume operation, so blank cigarette boxes make sense as a program quantity rather than a sample purchase.
Yes, wholesale volume is the operating model: pack, carton, and outer quoted as one program, delivered landed to your dock, with duty and shipping included.
No. Cigar boxes here are printed paperboard: cigarillo packs, count cartons, and sleeve-and-tray formats. Wooden boxes and humidors are a different trade.
Device boxes, pod system cartons, disposable single-unit cartons, and cartridge boxes with hang tab variants, run as multi-SKU programs across flavors and strengths on one color standard.
The plant is an IBA-accredited security printer. Security ink features are priced based on the job, with no change to production schedule, and the T-Code verification mark is printed and applied in house. Details are on the anti-counterfeiting page.
State tax stamps are applied by distributors after packing. Dielines here reserve a clear stamp zone so the stamp adheres to flat, uncoated board and the pack face still reads.
